The film, titled Run Bhola Run,[2] went on floors on Thursday, December 27, 2007. Vora describes the film as a comedy thriller. [3] The filming has started mid January 2008 and was completed on October 2008[4] though four songs were yet to be shot,[5] which were completed on January 2009.Sharman Joshi was earlier part of the film in the role of Bhola but he later opted out and got replaced by Tusshar Kapoor.[6] Soha Ali Khan also backed out of the film and has been replaced by Tanushree Dutta, who had also backed out after shooting for one hour due to date conflicts and had been finally replaced by Celina Jaitley.
